Everyone says keeping a food diary is a good thing, but I never seem to be able to keep one for very long.  Maybe if I start posting everything here, where people can see it and comment, I’ll last longer.  Comments and advice are welcome and appreciated, but meanness isn’t.  Please be constructive.

Breakfast: An apple, peanut butter, and a glass of skim milk.

Lunch: Sauteed onions, garlic, and zucchini and toasted chickpeas cooked with crushed tomatoes (my own creation, I have no name for it, so suggestions are welcome) over brown rice and topped with shredded cheese, water.

Dinner: Sandwich (whole wheat bread, chicken, turkey, pepperjack cheese, pickles, onion, mustard), grape tomatoes, Pepperidge Farm pretzel crackers (savory cheddar and plain) with roasted red pepper hummus, water.

Evening Snack: Nectarine, one Dove caramel chocolate, and a glass of skim milk.

Exercise: Walked/ran about 2 miles (according to the treadmill) in 30 minutes; week 2, day 3 of the one hundred pushups challenge (I’ve been on that for a while, as I suck at pushups); the dead bug for a little less than 5 minutes, and some crunches.
